Hysteroscope

A hysteroscope is a small telescope that is inserted into the uterus. The hysteroscope transmits an image of the uterus onto a screen. Other instruments can be used along with the hysteroscope for minor treatments such as the removal of polyps etc. Hysteroscopy is usually performed as an outpatient procedure.
